Welcome to my site.
I am an economist interested in consumer and investor behavior, competition policy, and financial stability. I now serve the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas as a principal researcher.
From 2016 to 2024, I served as Economics Director at the Philippine Competition Commission. Earlier, I was a consultant in various regional departments at the Asian Development Bank, worked as economist in commercial banks in the Philippines and the National Economic and Development Authority (now DEPDev).
I occasionally teach behavioral economics at the Ateneo de Manila University, De La Salle University, and the University of the Philippines. I am also a certified six sigma black belt.
I obtained my PhD (Economics) from the University of East Anglia under the supervision of Robert Sugden and Theodore Turocy. I also completed graduate economics programs at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy, and University of the Philippines. I studied Economics and Psychology in UP Baguio where I also worked as Psychology instructor.
