Flatiron Ice

My friend Brad and I did a cool but short ice climb in the Flatirons, after conditions had been cold and wet for many days. We decided not to do the Silk Road and instead try a route Brad had not done.

Here is a picture Brad took after the first step. After this there was one more true mixed section, then it became a steep snow climb. We determined from there we were either on a different route, or the upper pitches of Call the Copps were completely snowing in.
