• • Working as a free-lance translator and language services provider. Worked for the once most popular Bangladeshi nationwide terrestrial + cable TV channel Ekushey Television Ltd., and also as an in-house translator of their various documentaries including the popular documentary TV series “Toyota World of Wildlife”. Translated for other channels too.

• • Translated a guidebook for Bangladesh Earthquake Society and Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), on constructing earthquake resistant buildings and structures, titled “Guidelines For Earthquake Resistant Non-Engineered Construction”, originally published by The International Association For Earthquake Engineers (IAEE).

• • Completed (2006) a lengthy bilingual book on a similar subject (‘Earthquake Resistant Design Manual’) for Bangladesh Earthquake Society. Now jointly published by Bangladesh Earthquake Society and APPL [Academic Press and Publishers Ltd], Dhaka, Bangladesh.

• • Translated web-content for Weblations.com, a Spain based company.

• • Translated training manual for health workers on neo-natal child care and treatment for “Save the Children”. Subcontract.

• • Translated for the British High Commission (information leaflets for visa-applicants, etc) , Dhaka.

• • Translated pamphlets of The National CFC Consumption Phase-out Plan (NCCoPP) for India project. Avitra International (Auroville, India).

• • Translated the Charter of Auroville International Township in India.

• • Published translations of literary pieces by famous authors on Bangladeshi periodicals ( sample my first published translation : short stories by the famous Russian poet Alexander Pushkin and the science-fiction writer Aisac Asimov ) .

  • Write & translate for various Bangladeshi English & Bengali language newspapers in Bangladesh .
