Benjamin Franklin Chapter #16 of the National Sojourners
was chartered on 22 March 1924.
Organization Purpose
The Purposes of National Sojourners shall be to organize Commissioned Officers, Warrant Officers and Senior Non-Commissioned Officers of the uniformed services (past and present) of the United States and Honorary Members, who are Master Masons, into Chapters, for the promotion of good fellowship among its members, for assisting such as may be overtaken by adversity or affliction, for cultivating Masonic ideas, for supporting all patriotic aims and activities in Masonry, for developing true Patriotism and Americanism throughout the Nation, for bringing together representatives of the uniformed forces of the United States (past and present) in a united effort to further the military need of national defense, and or opposing any influence whatsoever calculated to weaken the national security.
Our Mission
Our mission is the furtherance of Patriotism. We support local veterans organizations and the active duty military. We also support the Junior ROTC programs in our local high schools and colleges. We provide several presentations to local groups concerning the American Flag and Patriotism.
We support the Freedoms Foundation Program at Valley Forge, sending as many youths as possible, by soliciting funds from public and private sources, as well as the various Masonic bodies.
Our Meetings
We meet the third Thursday of each month at 1830 hours. Social hour begins at 1730 hours.
