About Us
Bend Ice, an Oregon non-profit corporation, was formed in 2010 for the purpose of creating a culture of ice sports in Central Oregon. Bend Ice receives oversight and policy direction from its board of directors, officers, and committee chairpersons, with the assistance of dedicated volunteers.
In 2016, the USA Curling Association recognized Bend Ice as a “local association” of USA Curling. As such, Bend Ice is responsible for managing and operating all USA Curling sanctioned programs in Central Oregon. Bend Ice created a Curling Steering Committee, which is chaired by a member of the Bend Ice Board of Directors who beginning June 2017 will be elected by the Bend Curling Club Steering Committee membership. The Curling Steering Committee is responsible for administering local USA Curling programs and conducting the day-to-day operations of the local USA Curling association on behalf of Bend Ice.
The Central Oregon association is referred to as “Bend Curling Club”.
