Conference Dates
This event is scheduled for June 26 to June 28 2024 at the San Ignacio Resort Hotel in San Ignacio, Cayo District, Belize. Participants are encouraged to pre-register and make travel plans early so that they can be guaranteed a place in the program as well as advantageous rates on accommodations.
The Opening Ceremony will be held as part of a reception on the evening of Tuesday, June 25, 2024. Attendance to the reception is by invitation ONLY. Invitations to the reception are limited to ONE per presentation (first author). Invitations will be remitted in mid-June. Presentations of the Symposium proper will be held inside the Bedran Hall at the San Ignacio Resort Hotel starting on Wednesday June 26 through to Friday June 28, 2024.
Conference Venue
Established in 1976, the San Ignacio Hotel is a Belizean family-owned boutique hotel located in the Cayo District, Western Belize. The resort is centrally situated on a 17-acre private estate and five minutes away of the popular San Ignacio Town— an area that features a variety of cultural, adventurous, and culinary experiences. This characteristic has dubbed the Resort as "the only jungle' in town". The resort offers 27 luxury rooms and is renowned for its hospitality services and features the award-winning Running W Restaurant (which showcases meats from the family's ranch ), the Lobby Bar, and an on-site tour company (Cayo Gial Tours), in-room wellness treatments, an outdoor swimming pool and tennis court area, the largest event facilities in the Cayo District, and the #1 activity in San Ignacio, the Green Iguana Conservation Project. All Symposium presentations will be held at this venue.

General attendance registration will be available starting 7:30 a.m. Online pre-registration is recommended. Seating is limited so we advise you to register as soon as you can.
Belizean students: FREE only with valid student ID
Belizean attendees: BZD $10 per day
Foreign attendees: BZD $ per day
Lectures start daily at 8:30 a.m. Coffee break and snacks included.
Lunch however, will not be provided.
