Who We Are

The Belfast Humanist Group is a small, friendly group who meet regularly to discuss matters of interest to people who think that the welfare and happiness of human beings depend on the decisions of free thinking people rather than religious dogma.

The Belfast Humanist Group has a long history and although there have been many changes over the years, two of the founding members, Marion Simpson and Stanley Cowan, are still very much active.

What We Do

We meet regularly, usually twice a month to either hold a special event or discuss matters of interest. Due to current social distancing, our 2020 programme of meetings has been suspended.

Current Situation

We have not made a programme of meetings for 2021 but have decided to meet informally as and when social distancing regulations allow.

Update: We are have had 2 limited attendance coffee morning meetings in members houses as of July, and more are planned.
