My primary interests are in hormonal indicators of mating and parenting efforts, as well as how shifts in relevant hormones influence these behaviors. On a broader scale, I’m also interested in the adaptive nature of these hormonal and cognitive mechanisms, and how their evolutionary origins can aid in mapping and understanding their function.
Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, I completed a B.A. in Psychology at UCSB and a MRes in Speech, Language and Cognition at University College London before beginning my current PhD program.

I am a graduate student from India. I have a Bachelors degree in Zoology and a Masters in Evolutionary Biology. During my Masters I spent a lot of time studying, observing and recording mating and reproduction in Drosophila melanogaster and to my utter dismay found that I could not extrapolate my findings to humans! I thought my time might be better spent trying to figure out what made humans successful at finding and retaining a mate rather than other animals and insects and decided to pursue Evolutionary Psychology with special focus on how hormones influence human behavior. Some other topics within the field that I am currently interested in are the psychological mechanism underlying acts such as honor killing, cooperative courtship, mate choice and mate retention.
