The seat put in was from a tree that had fallen part way over the new route it was cut in two lengthways.

This page was just for a design concept, what was actually used was a log cut in half long ways and both parts used for the seat. The base was made from the same trunk placed on tghe ground with the half logs on top.

Other end of the seat is attached to a large log and this wouldn't be very likely at Beatties. I suspect the log was actually brought on site.

This seat of plastic material was secured to this sqaure plastic post stump also at Knocklofty.
If this method was used for securing the seat it could be hidden by large rocks.
