The BC Girls had a fantastic set of performances at States in Buffalo. Their contribution was significant in helping Section 2 take first place for the first time in 12 years. The BC 200 medley relay (Tara O'Donnell, Grace Ayer, Bethany Powhida) started things off for the Dolfins with a 5th place finish and 36 points, followed by Bethany bringing in points in the IM. Lauren picked up more points in the 50 free and then she picked up another 14 points winning consolation finals of the 100 free in a thrilling race! Tara tacked on another 7 points in the 100 free with a 14th place in consys and then added a great race winning conseys in the 100 Back, with Bethany having a nice swim in the same race. Grace placed 8th in the public school meet for the 100 Breast bringing in 15 points for Section 2. Last but not least, the BC 400 free relay team (Lauren, Bethany, Kelsey Bohl, and Tara) placed 3rd in the public school meet, 4th overall, with another 40 points!!
