My History in Bboying
While attending the Multicultural Engineering Program's (MEP) 2005 Summer Bridge at University of Colorado in Boulder, I was inspired by the Liao twins that were dancing. They taught me a few basics which got me interested in bboying. Over the next couple of months, I stopped by a few times to practice with them at the main recreation center on campus. It was not until I started training with a guy under the alias "Whiteboi (Get With This)" during the summer of 2009 that my passion in bboying really began to develop. My training became more serious from that point on as I learned from others to improve my technique. Some of my influences come from training with crews around Colorado such as Get With This, Dance2Live, Super Fresh Crew, Front Range Rockers, and Street Stylez. I have also been taught under many bboys in their master classes, some of which include Fate (Get With This), YNot (Rock Steady Crew), Ken Fury (Supreme Beings), Puzzles (Supernaturals), Crumbs (Killafornia), Flexum (Knuckleheads Cali), Marlon (Havikoro), Paranoid Android (Knuckleheads Cali), and Dizzy (Motion Disorderz). Since 2009, I have not only competed around Colorado but also in Las Vegas, New York City, St. Louis, Albuquerque, Chicago, Orlando, and Tuscon. I strive to become a better bboy by training as much as I can and trying other styles. I currently work at Streetside Studios in Boulder as an instructor and performing with others at shows. I am also a member of the Worm Tank Crew, Blowup Kingz, Block 1750, and Absolute Studios.
