Bingham County Mayoral Scholarship

Application and information

BINGHAM COUNTY MAYORAL SCHOLARSHIPS

Through teaming with the Bingham Community Foundation, we have established an endowment fund to provide scholarships for deserving, aspiring Bingham County High School Seniors and Continuing Education Students. Last year we awarded $3,000 in scholarships and built an $11,000 endowment fund to perpetuate the award of future scholarships.

Our goal this year is to award scholarships in each of the six Bingham County high schools (Sho-Ban Jr./Sr.; Aberdeen; Blackfoot; Snake River; Firth, Shelley), one continuing education scholarship, and continue to build the permanent endowment. This can only be done by teaming together with you as citizens, leaders, and friends to invest in our community's most valuable resources, the youth of Bingham County.

You know the motivation a scholarship gives a young student as they realize others are willing to invest in their potential. We implore you to be generous as you consider your support of the Bingham County Mayoral Scholarship Fund.

This year, one quarter of the raised funds will be awarded in scholarships and the remaining portion shall be placed in the endowment fund to generate future scholarships. As we work to build the scholarship endowment fund, all sponsors involved in contributing the first $50,000 to the endowment will be recognized as "Founding Members" and notarized permanently as such.

We invite you to invest in our community's future by enabling our youth to pursue a higher education. Please RSVP your sponsorship pledge with the Blackfoot City Clerk at 208-785-8600 Ext 19, Email Suzanne McNeel, or mail your sponsorship check to; City of Blackfoot, ATTN: Suzanne McNeel, 157 North Broadway, Blackfoot, Idaho 83221. Sponsorship donations are fully tax-deductible and will be held in a Blackfoot City Clerk's special account until distribution.
