Coach Drendel has been Teaching biology at Batavia High School since 1992. He started fishing local ponds in Batavia as a young boy. The fishing “itch” really got to Mr. Drendel in his teenage years when his family purchased a cabin near Hayward Wisconsin. During Mr. Drendel’s adult years he became a musky fanatic, chasing these toothy critters all over the country and Canada for well over two decades. Mr. Drendel fished the Professional Musky Tournament Trail (P.M.T.T.) for 5 years qualifying to the national finals tournament 3 times. These past few years Mr. Drendel has expanded into more of a multi -species angler with a true love for smallmouth bass. The fishing club was started by Mr. Drendel in 2004.
Coach Miller has been teaching business and driver's education classes at Batavia High School since 1994. Mr. Miller and Mr. Drendel fished the Professional Musky Tournament Trail together for 4 years and qualified for the national finals tournament 2 times. Mr. Miller frequently goes on fishing trips with Mr. Drendel chasing muskies, bass and walleye.
