Brother since 1980 to five. Veteran since 2002. Physics teacher since 2002. Husband since 2013. Father since 2014, now of three.
I grew up in Western Pennsylvania, spending time in Titusville, Bethel Park, and Clearfield. This should explain my love of Pittsburgh sports teams and my word usage. During my senior year of high school, I enlisted in the U.S. Army with the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. I spent the next seven years as a 92A, while also working on my college degree, delivering pizza, working in a warehouse, and checking on Pennsylvania guide rails and drainage systems with PennDot. Undergrad was spent at Clarion University of Pennsylvania where I majored in Physics Education. A few years later my education was continued at the University of Virginia where I earned a Masters in Physics Education. I have been teaching all levels of physics since the fall of 2002.
