I was born and raised in Pisa province. I studied at the Department of Computer Science in Pisa.

Now I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science in Pisa.

My areas of research interest are:

  • Decentralized Online Social Networks

  • Peer-to-Peer Networks and Decentralized Storages

  • NFTs and the Metaverse

  • Blockchain and cryptocurrencies

  • Social Network Analysis


Students' Supervision: I am happy to supervise BSc, MSc, and PhD students on topics related to Decentralized Online Social Networks and/or Blockchain Technology applied to Social Media. Send me an email.

I am one of the founding members of IEEE METASIG (IEEE SIG on Metaverse), a collaborator of the IEEE Social Networks Technical Committee, and a member of IEEE Computer Society Special Technical Community on Social Networking.
