Our next meeting will take place Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010 at the University of San Francisco.
Anjan Chakravartty of the University of Toronto will present a paper and Paul Teller will comment.
Time: 6 PM
Location: University of San Francisco, Fromm Hall, Maraschi Room
By public transit, take BART to Powell and transfer to the 5 Fulton bus on Market Street right by the cable car turnaround. Take the bus to Parker Ave, then walk one block north on Parker to Fromm Hall. Alternatively, you can take the 31 Balboa bus which will take you to the corner of Turk and Parker. Walk one and a half blocks south to Fromm Hall.
By car, once in San Francisco, take 101 North towards the Golden Gate Bridge. Stay to the left and follow the signs for Octavia Blvd / Fell Street. When you get off the freeway, go straight, you will be on Octavia. After about 4 blocks, turn left on Fell and go about 1.5 miles to Shrader and turn right. After the second block, Shrader jogs to the right and becomes Parker. Go one block and Fromm Hall will be on your right. Here is a link to a map of the campus:

We will meet in the Maraschi Room in Fromm Hall, which is at the corner of Parker Ave and Golden Gate Ave. The entrance to Fromm Hall that is closest to the Maraschi Room is between Fromm and the Library (between FR and GL on the map).
We will have dinner at the Thai Cafe, 3407 Geary Blvd., just three blocks from Fromm Hall (an 8 minute walk), so we can leave our cars where they are when we go to dinner.
