Individual hexes of import can contain descriptive comments, which may be added to as the game goes on - history comments gathered from locals - even to the point of passing units etc.
Sea zones to be smaller and centre around urban coastal hexes. Rivers are zones by themselves, written at mouth of the river.
Leader alignment - Left/Centre/Right or Radical/Moderate/Conservative or Nationalist/Traditional/Anarchist etc
Units that cross the borders will lose one strength point per turn if a friendly country, 2 per turn if not.
Five infantry weapons - ATW,SAM,GRN,HMG,MOR
Brigade sized units - greater than 12 STR - commanded by a Colonel
Division sized units - greater than 20 STR - commanded by General
Largest unit size will be 9999 men (4 decimals) ?? Why restict, make it 5 decimals
Generic weapon type - A HMG is a HMG etc, give it a different name and origin but it is still a HMG - is it worth differenating the different type of HMG, especially if it is only by price - unless availablitiy comes into it. People only by more expensive HMG because less expensive are not available? If a performance modifier is to be applied what level, change combat roll to D100 to make incremental modifiers more refinable. PRICE should reflect effectiveness AND availability.
Heavy equipment cannot go through mountains, even as surplus, unless road to cancel terrain. Players will have a generic setting to stop movement OR drop equipment. If forced move then auto drop.
Armour units can come with additional equipment of AntiInf, Smoke, Camouflage,SAM or Amphib. There will be light, medium and heavy tanks. Equipment does not have to be ON the tank, it might be support inf units of specialist nature.
Delivery sea routes - delivery from sea of HEAVY equipment will be via ROUTES, which lead to an urban centre. ROUTES can be patrolled rather than zones - in this case a new intercept order might be better, and patrol can be left more generic, as would blockade. ROUTES would have origins from which they come?
Large units will be less effective due to inability to bring all fire power to bear. Formation may take a part in this - if concentrated then better efectiveness but more vulnerable to harassment fire/air strikes etcs. Mode - Dispersed, Loose, Ordered, Close, Tight, March. 1-6
Lost equipment left from battles should be stored against a nonplayer account so it can accumulate over combat rounds. Will vanish at the END of any turn that no combat occurs in a hex (flag needs to be set/reset).
Movement rates table for different equipment, broken over the 12 phases. Different equipment will move at different times, even infantry can be altered by elite status to move differently - has definite effect if they move on 1 rather than 2. Player may even be able to specify move rate table to be used for that turn, troops forced marching, possible combat mod or attrition.
Morale levels for units - variable as game goes on - loyalty AND combat morale??
Minefields - once layed not friendly to anyone??? Remain friendly as long as a unit remians in the hex, of leave mainefield becomes player -1. Effects of minefields politically and economically??
More than 4 major Leader types ???? Rebel, Monarchist, Despot, - layout table of advantages that players may use to design thei leader around - extra advantages may be gained as the game goes on - or lost!!!! POssible restrictions - Clergy cannot use minefields or assassins etc. Only military can get some elites etc.
Orbittal satelites to gain reports of military units etc, info supplied by allies/supporter, or bought from them, special advantages for international support or levels.
Increase effect of ambush attacks - if successfully carried out.
Organisation levels for units - disordered by attacks etc. Reorder naturally by training levels or if leader present, or if at urban centre etc.
