Snorkeling at Menjangan Island in Bali

Taman Nasional Bali Barat or West Bali National park is located on the north western side of Bali Island. The park covers around 190 kilometers square, of which are 158 square kilometers of land and the rest is the sea. approximately 5% of Bali's total land areas. To the north side, it includes a 1,000 meter long beach, reef and islets. A seaport at Gilimanuk is west of the park, and the village of Goris is to the east. The National Park can be reached by roads from Gilimanuk, pemuteran, Munduk and Singaraja or by ferries from Banyuwangi -East Java. The park has savanna, mangroves, mountains and mixed-monsoon forests and the coral islands include the Menjangan Island.

The center of the park dominated by remnants of four volcanic mountains from Pleistocene era, with Mount Patas at 1,412 meters hight. Some 160 species can be found inside the park, including the banteng, barn swallow, black-naped oriole, black racket-tailed tree pie, crested serpent-eagle, crested tree swift, dollar bird, hawksbill turtle, Indian muntjac, Java sparrow, Javan lutung, large flying fox, leopard cat, lesser adjutant, long-tailed shrike, milky stork, Pacific swallow, red-rumped swallow, deer, sacred kingfisher, savanna nightjar, stork-billed kingfisher, water monitor, wild boar, yellow-vented bulbul and the critically endangered Bali myna. Received for release 40 Bali mynas from Surabaya Zoo and 20 from Taman Safari Indonesia by June 2011.There are several endangered flora species in this national park, such as: Pterospermum diversifolium, Antidesma bunius, Lagerstroemia speciosa, Steleochocarpus burahol, Santalum album, Aleurites moluccana, Sterculia foetida, Schleichera oleosa, Dipterocarpus hasseltii,Garcinia dulcis, Alstonia scholaris, Manilkara kauki, Dalbergia latifolia and Cassia fistula.

Depart from Lovina, Munduk or Pemuteran early morning for to be at the point of depart the port of Labuhan Lalang at 06:30. Continue trekking in to the park 2,5 hours accompanied by your Guide. You may encounter animals in the jungle such as the Black tailed macaques ( Lutung ), Birds and deers. Continue go for Snorkeling at 2 different spots. Relaxing at White sand beach before back to the Main Island. Have lunch at Warung and return to your Hotel.
