Badger Blacksmiths

Affiliate of Artist Blacksmiths Association of North America (ABANA)

Our blacksmith and metal workers guild is located in West Central and Northwest Wisconsin with activities centered about Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

We are committed to preserving the art, craft, and science of blacksmithing, providing opportunities for growth in learning and development of skills, presenting and promoting blacksmithing to the public, and providing fellowship and social networking for members and all those with an interest in blacksmithing.

Our membership is open to all. Our members are comprised of all ages and skill sets from curious beginner to master. Our members are always willing, and even eager, to share their knowledge with other blacksmiths, blacksmiths-to-be, and anyone with an interest in learning about blacksmithing.

Meetings are held nearly every month. Meetings are usually held on a Saturday beginning at 9AM. Meetings include instruction, demonstration, show and tell, a pot luck lunch with business meeting, and social fellowship to follow. It is our goal to have a fire in the forge at every meeting. See Calendar for dates and host of meetings and Current Newsletter for most up to date information.

In addition to meetings, the Badger Blacksmiths host a Spring Conference, and blacksmithing workshops are offered at other times of the year.

Many Badger Blacksmith members demonstrate our craft at many of the threshing shows and historical reenactments in the area from the St. Croix river on the west to about as far east as Wausau, and from Lake Superior on the north to the Black River to the south.

Please contact us if you have interests, questions on blacksmithing, or would like to become a member of the Badger Blacksmiths.
