About Me

I'm a retired Air Force officer and current Design/Build Woodshop teacher in Central Virginia. I would take my two children for hikes in the Blue Ridge Mountains and look for potential camping spots. Generally, it was very difficult to find a spot unless it was near a ridge or at the bottom of the slope. I resolved to find a solution to this problem and after lessons learned from many less than successful attempts, the Tree Cot is what I have come up with.
