Movie maker presentation
1 In groups of four, create a video about the one of the topics proposed.
è Go to the "ICT Sessions (B1)" section in our site [https://sites.google.com/site/bachenglish/ict] and read the instructions to fulfil your ICT task.
2 The instructions are the following.
Ø STEP ONE. Download the programme “Windows Movie Maker”, in case you don’t have it in your computer. DOWNLOAD NOW. [Mobile apps are allowed instead of the programme movie maker]
ü If you don’t remember how to use it:
a. Watch this tutorial in Spanish. HERE
b. Read or download the manual HERE
c. Ask your teacher for help.
Ø STEP TWO. Choose a topic.
a. The world from 1500 up to now.
b. Spain from 1500 up to now.
c. Inventions and technologies from 1500 up to now.
Ø STEP THREE. Decide which events (political, artistic, cultural...) are characteristic of their topics between the years proposed (approximately the students’ lifetime).
Ø STEP FOUR. “Google search” the web for representative images of the topics and events.
Ø STEP FIVE. Create a video of 1 or 2 minutes with the following features:
ü 8 to 12 images (approximately).
ü Add title and credits.
ü Add music of your choice.
Watch HERE an example of what you have to do!
Ø STEP SIX. Play the video in class and answer your classmates’ questions.
ü You classmates will write down what they see and hear (names of people, events...).
ü After each video, students must ask the group about one of the events. Questions are answered by a member of the group at a time, giving relevant information about that event and why they have chosen it.
ü A new group comes out and shows their video.
3 Third conditional. Write sentences on the possible consequences of some of the events that have appeared on the videos.
Example: If the Twin Towers hadn’t been attacked, the war against Iraq would not have taken place (or airport security measures wouldn't be now so strict)
