Software

We will use the following software in this course:

1. UCINET. This is something I wrote. You can download it here:

Normally, after a few months trial period, the program will want you to pay for it, but I will give you the secret code that will let you use it in perpetuity.

2. STATA. If you're in the Management department, we will buy you a copy of Stata/IC. If not, you can buy a 6-month license for $45 directly from Stata. Or you can use the university's virtual Stata, which requires internet access. I've heard this is not terribly reliable, but that could be completely wrong. To use it, you log onto https://apps.uky.edu/Citrix/Remote/site/default.aspx. It’s under the statistical software folder. You will need to install the citrix receiver to run it - https://www.citrix.com/products/receiver/

3. QUALTRICS. This is online survey software. The University has a site license. To set up your account, visit this site.
