Braudel - Wallerstein

Two major Internal Dissenters from the Eurocentric View. Fernand Braudel created the Annales School of History, with its distinctive view, focus on the long run, and emphasis on the poor downtrodden and neglected portions of the population as the central drivers of history. Immanuel Wallerstein created the World Systems view, which elaborates and adds a Marxist touch to a global history. Both go beyond Eurocentrism to consider the whole world acting togethet as participants in the great world drama.
