AZ and NM Postal History Society Formed July 7, 1985

The postal history of Arizona and New Mexico is rich with history and mystique. The AZ and NM Postal History Society was started initially by collectors meeting in private homes in Tucson, AZ. The AZ and NM Postal History Society was originally formed with a group of perhaps 10 to 17 stamp collectors who formed the core or charter group of the Postal History Society.

The purpose of the AZ and NM Postal History Society is basically to educate as well as entertain its members concerning both AZ and NM postal history and background. The Society is also involved in editing and publishing a quarterly publication, "The Roadrunner" which affords its members a forum for their philatelic holdings Below is the logo for The Roadrunner.

The Society is also affiliated with the ARIPEX Stamp Show, which is an annual World Series of Philately (WSP) stamp show held in Mesa, Arizona -- usually in February each year.
