I am a Postdoctoral Humboldt Fellow at the Chair of Philosophy II at Ruhr-Universität Bochum. My research primarily focuses on the philosophy of mind, philosophy of AI, and philosophy of language. I received my PhD from the University of California San Diego in June 2024.

My work addresses the nature of mental representation. I am developing a view of how perceptual representations are formed [see SWD] and how they provide the basis for thought [RWIR and DTRSG]. I use this framework to investigate whether AI systems — especially large language models — can acquire genuine mental representations [see DTRSG] .

I am also interested in Kant's philosophy of perception [ARRKI]. Alongside my main research, I am working on several book projects, including one at the intersection of logic and philosophy of mind, and two introductory texts, one in philosophy and one in logic.
