I am a Postdoctoral Humboldt Fellow at the Chair of Philosophy II at Ruhr-Universität Bochum. My research primarily focuses on the philosophy of mind, philosophy of AI, and philosophy of language.

I have been thinking (and writing) about the nature of mental reference. I start by developing an account of visual representation, which I then extend to other perceptual modalities, memory, and mental reference more broadly. I use this framework to investigate whether AI systems—especially large language models—can acquire genuine mental representations.

I am also interested in Kant's philosophy of perception, particularly in showing that arguments supporting a naive realist interpretation of his (and our) empirical intuitions fail. In my leisure time, I work on several book projects, including one at the intersection of logic and the philosophy of mind, as well as two introductory texts in philosophy and logic.
