I am a PhD student in the philosophy department at UC San Diego. My research is mainly in the philosophy of mind, philosophy of AI, and philosophy of language. I have taught a wide range of topics including logic, ethics, history of philosophy, philosophy of religion, and philosophy of mind.
I have been thinking (and writing a dissertation) about the nature of mental reference. I begin by developing an account of visual representation. Then, I extend the account to other perceptual modalities, to memory, and mental reference in general.
Part of my research involves exploring the possibility of AI systems, particularly large language models, acquiring genuine intentionality. I am also interested in Kant's theory of empirical intuitions. In my leisure time, I work on a book at the intersection of logic and philosophy of mind.
