Rocket cars are capable of going at a very high speed. Rocket cars are different from jet powered cars because they carry both fuel and oxidizer on board, which eliminating the need for an air inlet and compressor which add weight and increase drag.

Rocket car's engine runs for a short amount of time, but they can achieve a very fast acceleration and also a fast speed.
