The conference will take place at the Harbor View Hotel in Edgartown, MA, which is located on Martha's Vineyard. You can find some travel information on the hotel's website. We summarize some of the travel options below.
fly to Martha's Vineyard Airport (straightforward option, but typically more expensive)
fly to a mainland airport - Boston, Providence, or one of the NYC airports - and then take a combination of bus + ferry (less expensive option, but requires some planning)
drive to Woods Hole, MA and take the ferry
If you opt for a trip that involves taking a ferry, you should plan to take the Steamship's Authority ferry from Woods Hole, MA. The one-way fare is $8.50 per person as of December 2016. If you are planning to bring a car to the island then we recommended that you make an advanced vehicle reservation and that you consult the fare table for more information.
To get to Woods Hole you can either drive or take one of the Peter Pan Bus lines:
from the Boston Logan Airport or the Boston South Station (downtown) it is a 2-hour trip involving no transfers. You can find an updated schedule here.Â
