Our Troop does require a full head to toe Scout uniform. A minimum Class A uniform would be comprised of a rank appropriate Scout shirt with all required patches (World Crest, Unit Numerals 401 and Chief Seattle Council patch), a rank appropriate neckerchief, and neckerchief slide. Uniforms are expected to be tucked in with a pair of army green shorts/pants. Items such as a Scout hat are optional and not required. These items can be found online, at the scout shop, in your local thrift shop. The Troop will provide an appropriate neckerchief, slide, book and number patches for 401 included with the troop fee. Class A Uniforms are expected to be worn properly and with pride.
For Court of Honor and special outings the merit badge sash should also be worn. This is like a trophy case a scout can wear that displays the badges they have earned in areas of interest. There are 137 merit badge options.
Class B Uniform consists of a Troop T-shirt, these are purchased separately by the family and the troop places orders for these twice a year. Orders are usually placed in the spring and fall, an announcement will be made before the order is placed. We wear these to less formal events when specified and summer meetings. Camp T-shirts also count as a class B uniform.
