There is a book review and a film review due at the end of the fall semester. You may start work on that as soon as you'd like. Both the book and movie can be either fiction or non fiction, though they must deal with European history and any person, place or event that occurred between the years of 1450 and 1815. I have included some sample titles below. Once you have selected a book or movie, please run your selection by me for approval before working on it. More on this in class.
For both the film review and the book review you should look at how the newspaper book and film reviews are written or look at reviews on line to see how they are written to get some ideas. For our purposes you need to focus on the historical accuracy, or lack there of, of the book and the movie. It's important to discuss how close to what actually happened the book or movie portrayed the actual events. You should also give an idea of whether you thought the book or movie were worthwhile to read or watch. The paper should be 750 words, typed with size 12 font and one inch margins on the left, right, top and bottom. Do not include or add an extra space between paragraphs. You must turn in your work to turnitin.com. You will not turn in a hard copy to me. The log in ID and password for turnitin.com are below.
