To get started with your dive career, the first certification level course is the PADI Open Water Diver. We will provide you with a PADI Open water diver manual and DVD that you will self-study and complete the knowledge reviews in the manual. The course consists of classroom sessions, pool sessions and four open water dives. The classroom and pool sessions can be conducted over a weekend. When conditions permit, we do the open water dives in a local lake or some folks do their open water dives (also called check dives) while they are on vacation with another PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor. If you choose to do your open water dives on vacation, we call this a "referral course". It is a memorable event to get your certification while enjoying your dive someplace in paradise!
