Atlanta AOS Judging Center
Who we are:
The Atlanta Judging Center is part of the American Orchid Society Judging System designed to provide a service to its members, affiliated societies and orchid growers in the region by which their orchids can be evaluated and judged for American Orchid Society awards. We are committed to helping the AOS spread 'orchid fever' through encouragement and education about orchid growing, and the judging of quality orchids.
Bring your orchids to monthly judging!
We invite all who grow and love orchids to come to our monthly judging sessions. Should you have an orchid that you feel is of exceptional quality or you simply want to learn or perhaps even become a judge, please come visit us, or Contact Us for additional information. You may have your own flowers judged by presenting them to the judges at our monthly judging. If you have an event that you wish to have judged, you should contact the chairperson of the Atlanta Judging Center to confirm the date of judging in advance. The Chairperson can be contacted with questions on the Contact Us page.
If you are interested in becoming a judge, you are welcome to visit the center during its regular monthly meetings and you should feel free to contact the Chairperson for additional information (on the Contact Us page).
We meet in the lower Fellowship Hall at the Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church (3016 Lanier Drive NE, Atlanta, GA) on the second Saturday of each month. There is ample free parking and it is a very convenient access from the parking lot directly into the hall. Judge training (open to visitors) begins at 12:00 p.m. Orchids for judging can be entered from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Formal judging begins at 2:00 p.m.
We are back to in-person AOS Judging.
