Liwei Weng

I am an Assistant Professor of Accounting at D'Amore-McKim School of Business, Northeastern University.

My research interests are in financial accounting and auditing, with a focus on the following areas:

• Financial Accounting: disclosures, institutional investors, and analysts

• Government: government debt, government auditing, government disclosure and transparency, government accountability, and government information technology

• Auditing: audit quality and ESG assurance

• Debt Markets: municipal bonds and corporate loans

• ESG: labor

• Artificial Intelligence (AI)

My teaching experience includes AI and data analytics in accounting, financial accounting, and accounting Ph.D. seminars.
