Department of Statistics Enters Its 75th Year of Excellence

The Department of Statistics, Asutosh College, established in 1952, is delighted to announce the commencement of its 75th Year of Excellence during the 2026–2027 academic session. Completing 74 years of distinguished service the Department now embarks on a landmark year celebrating its rich legacy and enduring contributions to higher education.

To commemorate this significant milestone, the Department has planned a year-long series of events and initiatives, including academic lectures and seminars, conferences and workshops, alumni engagements, student activities, outreach programmes, exhibitions and other commemorative celebrations. These programmes will honour the Department's achievements, celebrate its vibrant community of students, alumni, faculty, and staff, and reaffirm its commitment to excellence.

The Platinum Jubilee year will also provide an opportunity to reflect on the Department's remarkable journey over the past seven decades while looking ahead to new frontiers of learning, innovation, and societal impact.
