Dr. Jeffrey A. Rich

I am the Outreach Coordinator at the Carnegie Observatories in Pasadena. Please feel free to contact me with any inquiries about our outreach programming, including school visits, tours, our open house and more.

In addition to my education and outreach duties, I continue to conduct astronomical research. I study IR Luminous galaxies in the local Universe as part of the GOALS project, and galaxies-in-transition through the SPOGS collaboration.

I also work on distance ladder studies with the Carnegie-Chicago Hubble Program collaboration and 3D spectrosocpy of local volume galaxies with the the Las Campanas Progressive Integral Stepping Method (PrISM) Survey.

Last but not least, I am working with Roc Cutri, Frank Masci and Carl Grillmair to build the WISE Variable Source Database.
