Call for Nominations ― This year the 48th Mechanisms & Robotics Conference to take place at the 2024 ASME IDETC-CIE Conference will feature a special session of invited talks for up-and-coming early career faculty. This provides a unique venue for early career faculty to showcase their research and suggest future directions of the field. Relevant topics within the themes of mechanisms & robotics are broad. Example topics include robot design, motion planning, human-centered robotics, collaborative robots, soft robotics, parallel robots, reconfigurable robots, tensegrity robots, rehabilitation robots, exoskeletons, biomechanics, grasping, manipulation, compliant mechanisms, metamaterials, and origami-inspired mechanisms.

Currently, the organizing committee seeks nominations of high quality candidates for these invited talks. The candidate should hold a tenure track or equivalent position at their university. Candidates should expect to travel to Washington DC, USA, in mid-August for the in-person event.

To nominate a candidate, please fill out the Nomination Form or email butler@psu.edu no later than April 30, 2024.

Self nominations are welcomed.
