Purpose:
This award was established to promote the research and development of Mechanical Computer-Aided Engineering (MCAE) software in the areas of mechanical multibody design synthesis and analysis.
Awards:
One award was given biennially with a cash value of $1000.
Qualifications of Awardees:
Must present a paper concerning large-displacement nonlinear kinematics or dynamics of mechanisms.
Must have quantitative computational results supporting paper.
Must not be a principal stockholder in a commercial software company.
Paper Evaluation Guidelines:
Originality, generality and contribution to the state of the art in MCAE technology pertaining to mechanism analysis.
Excellence in theoretical and computational underpinning.
Clarity and conciseness of presentation.
Algorithm completeness.
Preference will be given to any paper which presents commercially-feasible techniques
