Ashtead Art Lovers is a for those wanting to know more about art, artists and the history of the times.
My presentations are designed to broaden your background knowledge. I take into consideration the political events, the influential people, the specific art movements and how all of these influence the art of a specific period. As you will see from the list of monthly talks, a wide aspect of art is covered and is related to many of the temporary exhibitions in London.
The monthly talks are held on the last Friday of every month at either 11 a.m. (with coffee & cake) and 7.30 p.m. with vino and nibbles. I use a power point presentation and these groups are kept deliberately small in order to encourage discussion as the presentation progresses.
However, the size of the audience does not phase me. I also give talks and study days for various groups including art clubs, the WEA, West House Pinner and the Ashtead Link Women's Group.
