This content was originally developed by Dr. Ford Versypt along with Dr. Daria Khvostichenko as part of a course in K-12 science education for graduate students in science and engineering fields offered in 2011 by the Illinois Researchers in Partnership with K-12 Science Educators
(I-RISE program, http://irise.illinois.edu/). The lesson plan is titled "Filtration Fun." In the outreach workshop version, the lesson is titled "Clean Water through Chemical Engineering."
The lesson plan is available for download below. The lesson plan and the files in the zip file are summarized in the document 0-Filtration Fun Lesson Summary.doc contained within the Google Drive folder. The files can be previewed online using Google Drive (click on the file name) but are best viewed in Microsoft Office after being downloaded.
