I'm Associated Professor at the Systems Engineering Department in Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. I teach courses in the Systems Engineering program and the Master in Systems Engineering and Computation.
I worked as Support Engineer in the Telemedicine Centre of the Universidad Nacional. I performed technical support to the process related to the provision of Telemedicine services, I worked in the development of a Telemedicine Information System and I carried out some hardware administration and support activities.
I belong to the Bioingeniería, Análisis de Señales y Procesamiento de Imágenes BASPI research group (classified as A by Colciencias), where I develop some proyects with students of the Systems Engineering program, the Master in Systems Engineering and Computation and the Doctorate in Engineering.
In addition, I have been with the Computer Imaging and Medical Applications Laboratory CIM@LAB (classified as A1 by Colciencias), where I developed my Master Thesis project, named "Non-Parametric 3D Deformations Applied to Anatomical Structures Morphometry", and my Ph.D. project, named "Visual Attention Models and Sparse Representations for Morphometrical Image Analysis", under supervision of professor Eduardo Romero, Ph.D.
