Departmental Mission & Vission

Vission Statement of EE Department

To Prepare an effective and socially responsible Electrical engineer to serve the future need and challenges of a sustainable society

Mission Statement of EE Department

Programme Outcomes of Diploma in Electrical Engineering:

1. Basic and Discipline specific knowledge: Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialization to solve the engineering problems.

2. Problem analysis: Identify and analyse well-defined engineering problems using codified standard methods.

3. Design/ development of solutions: Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specified needs.

4. Engineering Tools, Experimentation and Testing: Apply modern engineering tools and appropriate technique to conduct standard tests and measurements.

5. Engineering practices for society, sustainability and environment: Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.

6. Project Management: Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.

7. Life-long learning: Ability to analyse individual needs and engage in updating in the context of technological changes.

Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs)

PEO 1: Build the student’s capacity in pursuing skills and knowledge in the emerging areas of Electrical Engineering.

PEO 2: Realize the needs of the society; apply technical knowledge and skills to solve technical problems and take on higher responsibilities in industry, academics and diverse fields of Engineering.

PEO 3: Establish a commitment to teamwork and leadership skills while working with others of diverse cultural and interdisciplinary backgrounds.

Programme Specific Outcomes:

The students will be able to:

PSO-1: Identify the problems in the electrical engineering field and solve them by applying knowledge of electrical engineering.

PSO-2: Use modern open-source software tools for simulation and design of basic electrical circuits.

PSO-3: Develop a sense of safety and precautions in the professional sector.
