Hello!
I am Arifin Sandhi and worked as a Researcher in the Department of Biology and Environmental Sciences at Linnaeus University, Kalmar, SWEDEN (2018-2023).
This is my personal webpage, where you can get brief information about my current and previous completed research works.
I look forward to new research collaboration, especially in the field of heavy metal pollution problems in soil, water and plant species as well as their management. I have done a number of investigations regarding heavy metal and metalloid contents in different locations both in Sweden and Bangladesh.
I am one of the experts in Phytoremediation techniques, where we have used high heavy metal accumulating plant species to remove heavy metals from soil and water resources.
We have discovered the first arsenic hyperfilter aquatic moss species (Warnstorfia fluitans) in 2018 and it could accumulate arsenic from the contaminated water system, especially in the mining areas located in the northern part of Sweden.
I completed my PhD in Land & Water Resources Engineering from KTH-Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, SWEDEN in the year of 2018.
