Dr. Thomas J. Matula (PhD) the director of Center for Industrial and Medical Ultrasound (CIMU) at the University of Washington spoke to the cardiovascular research community at UC about microbubble dynamics of ultrasound contrast agents (UCAs) in blood vessels and the implications of such microbubble activity on the use of UCAs for molecular imaging and therapy.

This talk was held as a part of the Dean's Distinguished Cardiovascular Seminar Series sponsored by the Cardiovascular Center of Excellence.

The Cincinnati Student Chapter of the Acoustical Society of America also hosted an evening with Dr. Matula at Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery 10 Fountain Square Plaza, Cincinnati OH 45202 at 7.15 pm on Sunday 20 November 2011. The evening provided an opportunity for student members to interact with Dr. Matula and discuss his research.
