Andy is from Indonesia. Currently, he works as a postdoctoral researcher and is affiliated with the Control Systems section within the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the TU-Eindhoven (Eindhoven University of Technology) in the Netherlands. In 2024, he obtained his PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same university, where his position was affiliated with the Dynamics and Control section. His PhD research has been focused on modelling and analysis of drilling systems equipped with a downhole regulator tool and under the support of the Indonesian Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP) of the Republic of Indonesia and the Norwegian company Tomax AS.
In 2015, he received his MSc degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Houston in Texas, USA, under the support of the Fulbright Scholarship Program (from IIE - US Department of State). He also obtained his BSc degree in Engineering Physics from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Bandung, Indonesia, in 2007. He also gained professional experience in several years, mainly in the energy-industry sector (oil-gas exploration and production) and academic sector (university).
He has a broad range of interests, and his current working interest lies in the area of automatic control (control systems) and dynamics, including their applications in the exploration and production sector of energy and mineral resources and the agriculture sector.
