Who are We?
Artistic Salon and Spa has been around since 1961! Originally located on Monona Drive we moved into an older building located in the heart of downtown McFarland in the late 70's. We are a one family owned and operated company. The original Owner Mary passed away in the late 90's leaving the business to the current owner her Niece, "Pebbles." Pebbles took to rehabbing the salons appearance and location. Tearing down the old building and building and expanding into our current facility. Once a simple small town salon we are now a full service Aveda Salon and Kevin Murphy retailer with spa facilities for Manicures, Pedicures, and waxing. Tina W.:Licensed Cosmetologist and Licensed Salon Manager
Tina has been with our salon for 10 years. She began as a nail tech almost 20 years ago working for Nail Spa Plus in Madison and made the decision to become a fully licensed cosmetologist in 2006. She works Tuesdays through Saturdays, and while she is great in all nail and hair services areas, she has a special knack for, artificial nails, short cuts, funky chic choppy looks. When not in the salon Tina loves racing and football events spending a lot of time supporting local pro-am teams.
Joan D.: Licensed Cosmetologist
Joan has been with our salon since mid 2006. Following a 3 year cosmetology career in Stoughton, she was looking to take skills closer to her hometown of Madison without sacrificing the small town atmosphere she grew to appreciate in Stoughton. Joan works Mondays through Thursdays. We've found the biggest assets Joan brings to our business are her abilities with longer hair, and highly detailed multi-dimensional colors. Joan was recently certified in Brazilian Blowouts and Rusk Keratin Straightener. She is currently working her way through the PBA certified board haircolorist course as well as the Masters of Balayage course with the intention of fulfilling their requirements by the years end. Joan keeps busy in her free time chasing her two young boys to baseball, soccer, basketball and volunteering with the human society with her son Henry.
