Present position
At present, I am a senior scientist hired by the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute, located within the Vall d'Hebron Hospital, in Barcelona, Spain. I was hired thanks to the obtention of a Miguel Servet (previosly FIS) Contract. These contracts, developed by the Spanish Sanity Ministry in 1998, aimed to incorporate young quality researchers to research groups belonging to the National Health System. These helps, called "Ayudas para contratos de Investigadores en el Sistema Nacional de Salud", have a duration of 6 years, with an intermediate evaluation. At the end of the 6 years period, the corresponding Autonomous Community assumes the responsability of the contract, through an specific agreement. I obtained the contract in the 1999 call, but I was not able to incorporate at job until July 2001. Since 2007 I am definitively stabilized.
I am carrying my research work in the Experimental Cardiology Lab, located in the Research Institute. The lab is integrated in the Cardiology Service of the Vall d'Hebron Hospitals.
