Welcome! I am a Professor of Health and Development Economics (with tenure) and the Editor-in-Chief of the European Journal of Health Economics.
My research focuses on developing practical solutions for positive societal change. Recurring themes include vulnerable populations, the impact of economic shocks, and decision-making processes shaped by information asymmetries and social norms. Empirical rigor is central to my approach, as I tend to leverage innovative data sources, field experiments, and quasi-experimental methods to address pressing economic questions.
