My hometown is Asansol, West Bengal in India. I attended Surendranath College, Kolkata under the University of Calcutta from where I completed my B.Sc. (Hons.) in physics. Following this, I joined IIT Bhubaneswar as an M.Sc. student in 2018, and as a PMRF in 2020, finishing my PhD in 2025.
Since my early days, I have been fascinated by mathematical ideas, which, when paired with some excellent teachers I have had, have led me to being a researcher in theoretical and mathematical physics. I have many interests which include open quantum systems, ultracold atoms and superfluids, electronic systems, exactly-solvable and integrable systems, and geometrical formalisms of mechanics, dynamical systems, and thermodynamics.
When I am not doing physics, one can find me listenting to audiobooks, or reading (primarily about history and anthropology), or perhaps just cooking.Â
