Examples of activities
I have just a few pictures of some of the activities that I do with the kids. Other examples are wood and bead abacuses for China, glass mosaic trivits for ancient Greece, small teepees or parflechs for Plains Indians, painting plaster totem poles or felt mini button blankets for Northwest Coast, and wood, feather and stone arrowhead arrows for Native California. I like to use materials other that paper so the students can really feel the accomplishment of a three dimensional piece. Also excavating fragments, sorting by type and reassembling as a puzzle is integral to archaeology and just a fun project for the students.
Below are some pictures of projects and activities.
