My Hometown
I was born in Ceglie Messapica, a small village in Apulia (Italy) located in the "Valle d'Itria" - between the "Murge" and "Salento".
Ceglie is one of the oldest villages in Apulia (Italy) founded, according to the Greek historian Herodotus, in the 13th century BC by the Cretan king Japige.
It was the military capital of the Messapians and was named Kaelia after the arrival of Greek settlers around 700 BC.
It is considered one of the most beautiful medieval towns, protected by defensive walls and sheltered by the Castle which was built between the XI and XIII centuries.
It is the Gastronomic Capital of Puglia
